Fallout 4 Permadeath Roleplay - First Try (Part 3)

Part 3: First Engagement

When I reached Concord my heart sank at first. There was no signs of life. No people. No military outposts. No nothing. But then I heared gun fire. My first instinct was to duck and draw my weapon. In a normal world I would avoid dangerous situations, but I was desperate to find other post-nuclear survivors, and so I cautiously approached the source of gunfire sound. I then saw a man with a gun. He didn't look like a good guy. I pulled the trigger. This was the first person I killed since over 200 years. But he wasn't the last as his friends started shooting at me. Though I was frozen for two centuries, my military training was still paying off. While their bullets whistled all around chaotically, I took them out one by one in a professional fashion. Then some person with a a weird hat hailed to me from a balcony and asked for help. Before I could even answer back, he disappeared. And so I grabbed the weird looking gun, but stick with the pistol. I plowed myself through those bandits, taking them one by one from behind, before they could even notice me. This is crazy! After 200 years I can still use a gun and be good at it.

What came next was insanity: It turned out that the world had not rebuilt itself. People are still living as if it had been 10 and not 200 years. Then there was talk about ghouls, whoever they are.
These people still needed my help. They asked me to juice up the power armor and deal with the remaining raiders. Yea, I saw those power armors before the apocalypse, though I never had the chance to wear them due to my low rank. Well, guess what - now it doesn't matter. I hacked the computer downstairs and extracted the fusion core. I was somewhat of a computer nerd before the war and surprisingly my skills still didn't leave me after such a long time of..absence. I got into that power armor and grabbed a mini gun that way lying around conviniently. The remaining raiders were a cakewalk, but then a big creature with claws and horns crawled out of a tunnel. What in the world was this? I fired at it like crazy and eventually that thing went down but gosh was that an intense experience. I had seen war, but this day was the most intense in my life.

Afterwards this small group of crazy people decided to go where I used to live before the bombs dropped -  to Sanctuary. And they rewarded me for my help with bottle caps from Nuca Cola! BOTTLE CAPS! So this is the new currency of this weird world. Oh well. At least they do have a currency. After all I had seen I thought they would give me crops or a cow as payment. I need to reach that Jewel of the Commonwealth that they told me about, but first I need to return back to Sanctuary and lick my wounds.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pretty easy part. I was a little scared when raiders started to throw molotow cocktails and me and of course the deathclaw. But I was in a Power Armor so I am fine. I leveled up twice, but I only picked one perk - the one related to pistol damage, forgot it's name. I will keep points in reserve from now on until I need something specific.
